Trees and Buildings

We carry out tree surveys as per the British Standard 5837:2012 “Trees in relation to construction-Recommendations”. This is the standard which the Local Planning Authorities (LPA) works from and the format it expects. The pre-development tree survey quantifies the opportunities, and constraints, to integrating proposed new buildings into landscapes with existing trees.

We also create Tree Constraints Plans using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. This aids the project Architect to fine tune their proposed design and the position of buildings, access and utilities.

We have assisted on projects ranging from small extensions in back gardens to large scale provision of social housing for Local government.
We provide this service across Scotland for domestic clients, Architects and construction companies.
